The patrol division of the Randall County Sheriff’s Office is made up of three sergeants, three corporals and 17 patrol deputies. These well trained officers are the first responders to all calls for service in Randall County outside the city limits of Amarillo and Canyon. These officers are the first contact the citizens have when a matter arises that requires law enforcement intervention.
Dennis Rice Lt. Dennis Rice
Patrol Division

Lt. Rice has served with the Randall County Sheriff’s Office since July of 1992. He has worked as a jailer, transport officer, handled electronic monitoring of inmates and supervised the inmate work programs. In 2002, Lt. Rice became the first environmental investigator for the county. While in CID, he investigated property crimes. Lt. Rice is also Randall County’s Fire Marshal and investigates all suspicious fires in the county. Lt. Rice was promoted to Lieutenant and oversees the Patrol Division.
